The reason I am posting this is because after I got on the vape train, I soon felt like I was getting a lung infection and started wondering what was in them. Then someone told me, its oil… we naturally breathe air. Clog your lungs with oil…. who came up with that idea?
“E-liquid begins with the main base, vegetable glycerin. We (and most other manufacturers) use certified organic VG—the glycerin doesn’t carry flavor very well, but does produce a lot of vapor. The next ingredient is propylene glycol—this is usually cited by alarmists as being a “main ingredient in antifreeze.” This is incorrect, as they’re willfully confusing it with diethylene glycol, which has actually been found in mass market e-cig products. I absolutely do not add any of that to my liquid because I do not make antifreeze.”
“Vegetable glycerin, or glycerol, is a clear, odorless liquid produced from plant oils, typically palm oil, soy, or coconut oil. Palm and coconut oils are natural triglyceride mixtures; each triglyceride is composed of three fatty acids esterified with glycerin. Vegetable glycerin has a number of valuable applications that include cosmetic products, foods, and as a replacement for alcohol in herbal and botanical tinctures.”
Breathing oils in to your lungs, wouldn’t that eventually clog your lungs? To each their own, we always find out things that are supposed to be good for us aren’t, but this one just seems stupid. I can appreciate how trendy it is, almost $100 for a decent one. Hell if its expensive, it must be good. I am not trying to push a point here, we all have our vices, I just want to to let you know whats in them. We’ll find out in ten years or so if they are actually better, or worse than tobacco cigs. I personally don’t like being a guinea pig, I’d rather know if its bad, what it might do to me upfront, the side effects… and no offense but finding out it was invented in China doesn’t really give me a vote of confidence, after I found out about all the imported dog treats from China were seriously bad and killing lots of peoples pets.
